Adspy collections: a shared swipe file with notes
Adspy collections are shared folders of saved ads where a team keeps its references and adds a note to each. Everyone in the workspace works from the same ads, saved and read from Claude, Codex or any remote MCP client.

What does an Adspy collection hold?
An Adspy collection holds saved ads with your team's notes, under a name. It lives in a workspace, so everyone with access reads the same ads and notes from their own assistant, and the collection keeps each saved ad even when your plan changes.
- Saved ads
- Ask your assistant to save the ads it found, up to 100 at a time. Saving the same ad twice keeps it once.
- Notes
- One note per saved ad, up to 10,000 characters: why it caught your eye and what to take from it.
- Name
- A name of up to 100 characters, so a client folder reads as one. Saving to a new name creates the collection.
- Plan changes
- Nothing saved is deleted when a plan changes.
What do a collection's ads have in common?
Adspy keeps each saved ad's AI tags, so your assistant can count the hooks, formats, messages, offers, proof and calls to action a collection's ads share, once get_collection expands them, included in your plan. In the sample collection Greens powders watch, 4 of 8 ads open with a confession hook and 4 of 8 use a talking head format.

How does a team share collections?
An Adspy workspace shares its collections, notes and followed brands with everyone invited to it. Starter, Pro and Unlimited include one user each; an extra user is $5 a month on Starter, $15 on Pro and $29 on Unlimited. Credits belong to the team: everyone in the organization draws on the same monthly allowance, and an extra user adds no credits.
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Owns the workspace and can do everything an admin can |
| Admin | Manages the workspace and its team, and invites people |
| Member | Researches, saves creatives and writes notes |
| Viewer | Reads the workspace without making changes |
How to build a swipe file in Adspy
Adspy collections work in your AI assistant, Claude, Claude Code, Codex or any remote MCP client, through the Adspy MCP server. save_creatives saves up to 100 ads at a time and update_note writes a note on each, for free; list_collections and get_collection read them back, with the ads expanded, included in your plan.
In your AI assistant
- Connect Adspy to your AI assistant once: Claude, Claude Code, Codex or any remote MCP client. The setup guide has the steps for each.
- Ask the assistant to keep what it found, for example "save these five ads to a collection called Q4 hooks with a note on each".
save_creativessaves ads to a collection, or creates one by name.Freeupdate_notewrites the note on a saved ad.Freelist_collectionslists the workspace's collections.Freeget_collectionreads saved ads and notes, and can expand the ads.Included
What collections do not do
No briefs written for you
Adspy does not generate briefs. Notes on saved ads hold your team's own words, and anything your assistant drafts from them is the assistant's, not Adspy's.
Invitations are links
Adspy creates a private invitation link for each teammate, valid for 7 days, and sends no email. Share the link yourself.
Public ads only
Collections hold ads from Adspy's library of public Meta and Google ads. They do not import your own ads or files.
Questions about collections
Can I save ads from my AI assistant?
Yes. The assistant saves ads with save_creatives and writes notes with update_note, for free. Everyone in the workspace reads the same collections with list_collections and get_collection.
What happens to saved ads if I change plans?
They stay, with their notes. Collections belong to the workspace, and nothing saved is deleted when a plan changes.
Can a client see a collection without editing it?
Invite them to the workspace as a viewer: a viewer's connection reads collections and notes but cannot save or write. Each person counts as one user.
Is there a limit on collection size?
You can save up to 100 ads per request and keep adding. get_collection reads them back 20 at a time by default, up to 100.
Sources and method
The example is the collection "Greens powders watch" from a sample workspace, in a snapshot of the shared library taken on 23 September 2026. Its 8 ads and their AI tags are real; the organization, people and notes are written for the example.
The shared traits are counted with Adspy's own function: each value's share is of the saved ads with a known value in that dimension, unknown values are left out, and explicit absence such as No offer counts as evidence.
