Connect Adspy to your AI assistant
Adspy (adspy.sh) is an MCP server for researching public Meta and Google ads and brands' TikTok, YouTube and Instagram posts. Connect it once to Claude, Claude Code, Codex or another MCP client, sign in to Adspy in the browser, then ask about any brand's ads in plain words.

Connect Adspy to Claude
Claude adds Adspy as a custom connector in its settings; a prompt cannot add it for you. Once added on claude.ai, the connector also works in the Claude desktop and mobile apps.
- In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.
- Choose +, then Add custom connector.
- Name it Adspy, paste the server URL below and leave Advanced settings empty.
- Choose Connect, sign in to Adspy and approve the connection.
- In a conversation, turn Adspy on from the + menu if it is off.
https://www.adspy.sh/mcpConnect Adspy to Claude Code
Claude Code adds Adspy with one command, then opens the browser so you can sign in to Adspy and approve the connection. Run the command in a terminal, or paste the setup prompt from your Adspy console and let Claude Code run it for you.
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user adspy 'https://www.adspy.sh/mcp' && claude mcp login adspyConnect Adspy to Codex
Codex adds Adspy with one command, then opens the browser so you can sign in to Adspy and approve the connection. Run the command in a terminal, or paste the setup prompt from your Adspy console and let Codex run it for you.
codex mcp add adspy --url 'https://www.adspy.sh/mcp' && codex mcp login adspyLet an assistant set Adspy up
An AI assistant that runs commands, such as Claude Code or Codex, can set Adspy up for you. The setup prompt in your Adspy console asks it to follow these four rules, and the Markdown version of this page gives an assistant the same rules.
- Ask which app the user wants Adspy in; never guess it from where the assistant is running.
- Configure only that app, and keep the user's other MCP servers as they are.
- Let the user sign in to Adspy and approve the connection in the browser. Never ask for an API key, a token or a password in the chat.
- Call the free get_context tool, and say Adspy is connected only after it answers. Paid research is not part of the setup.
ChatGPT and Cursor: coming soon
Adspy has not yet been tested end to end in ChatGPT or Cursor. Both apps support remote MCP servers, and the Connect page of your Adspy console will show their steps once a full test passes.
Connect another MCP client
Any client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP can connect to Adspy. Sign-in uses OAuth 2.1 in the browser; a client without OAuth sends an Adspy API key, created in Settings, as a Bearer token.
- Server URL
- https://www.adspy.sh/mcp
- Transport
- Streamable HTTP
- OAuth
- OAuth 2.1 with PKCE (S256), client ID metadata documents or dynamic client registration; the discovery documents are under /.well-known.
- API key
- Send Authorization: Bearer <ADSPY_API_KEY>. Keep the key in an environment variable, never in a chat.
Check the connection with get_context
Adspy's get_context tool is free. It returns your workspace, your credit balance and the connection's spending limits, so it proves the connection without paid research. Treat Adspy as connected only after get_context answers.
What can I do with Adspy? Check my connection with get_context first. Do not run paid research yet.Ask your first questions
Adspy answers research questions asked in plain words. Browsing ads and posts is included in your plan; your assistant asks before adding a new brand or account, and other paid results, such as a Brand Full Analysis (90 credits), say their price once.
Run a Brand Full Analysis of AG1 over the last 90 days. Tell me which formats, hooks and landing pages it leans on, which ads it has kept running the longest, and what changed in the last month.
90 creditsShow me Ritual's video ads that have been running for at least 30 days, longest first, and break down how each one opens in its first seconds.
IncludedCompare the ads of AG1 and Huel over the last 90 days: formats, hooks, offers and how long each keeps its ads running. Then tell me where they differ most.
120 creditsWhich of AG1's TikTok, YouTube or Instagram posts were later run as ads? Show each post next to its ad, with the delay between them.

Plans, credits and spending limits
Adspy research needs a paid plan, Starter, Pro or Unlimited; without one, you choose it in the sign-in window, and Enterprise is set up on contract. Each connection gets a monthly spending limit for paid results when you approve it, which you can change or revoke in Settings.
- Starter
- $19 a month, one source (Meta, Google or TikTok), 2,000 credits included
- Pro
- $39 a month, every source (Meta, Google and TikTok), 6,000 credits included
- Unlimited
- $99 a month, every source, no credit count, fair use
- Enterprise
- On contract: the REST API with API keys, limits set in the contract, billed by invoice
- Credits
- Browsing is included on every plan, with fair use: ads, posts, their analysis and files of them. On Starter and Pro, credits pay for results: 90 for a Brand Full Analysis, 60 for a social report or each brand in a comparison, 400 to add a missing brand or a new social account. Credits belong to the team: everyone in the organization draws on the same monthly allowance, and an extra user adds no credits.
